FACULTY CHAIR
Dr. Bishop oversees the development of the educational program content and coordinates with the faculty. He has 25+ years as a practicing Emergency Medicine physician. He is the Assistant Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Ascension Providence, MI, and Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University and Michigan State University.
RESIDENT FACULTY
Dr. Calandrino is currently a PGY-2 Resident in Emergency Medicine. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR
Dr. Davis manages the administration of the Emergency Medicine Future Stars, coordinating the activities between the faculty and attendees. She has a PhD in Cancer Biology from Wayne State University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Urology at the University of Michigan. She is also an Executive Director of a professional medical society.
RESIDENT COORDINATOR
Dr. Kallabat is currently a PGY-2 Resident in Emergency Medicine at Ascension Providence, MI, and coordinates the activities of the resident volunteers for the Emergency Medicine Future Stars. She received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
FACULTY
Jennifer graduated from Wayne State University Physician Assistant (PA) Studies in 2006. She has spent her entire career as an Emergency Medicine PA. She previously served as Lead PA for Ascension Novi and Southfield campuses and is currently the Program Director of Ambulatory Care Services for Independent Emergency Services.
RESIDENT FACULTY
Dr. McDougall is a PGY-2 resident in Emergency Medicine at Ascension Providence, MI. She completed her undergraduate degree at Nova Southeastern University and medical degree at University of South Florida Health Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL.

Dr. McGuire is Core Faculty and Director of Utrasound at Ascension Providence Emergency Medicine, MI. Dr. McGuire completed fellowships in
Emergency Ultrasound at Beaumont Royal Oak, MI and Wilderness Medicine, Wilderness Medical Society. His academic interests are emergency ultrasound, wilderness medicine and resuscitation.
RESIDENT FACULTY
Dr. Mihaltan is Chief Resident, PGY-3, in Emergency Medicine at Ascension Providence, MI. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI and medical degree from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI. She decided to pursue EM for the fast pace and patient interactions.
RESIDENT FACULTY
Dr. Saba is currently a PGY-2 Resident in Emergency Medicine at Ascension providence, MI. She obtained her undergraduate degree from University of California, Los Angeles and medical degree from American University of the Caribbean. She pursued medicine starting with General Surgery but found her passion in the immediate decision making and fast paced environment of EM.
STUDENT ADVISOR
Sophia is a Student Advisor and Emergency Medicine Future Stars Coordinator. She works with the faculty to identify the needs of high school students interested in careers in medicine and collaborates with the faculty on program development.
